The internal arrangement has been altered to:

• eliminate the centre seat/tank;
• introduce side seat/tanks which also form the basis for a sleeping platform;
• reduce the complexity of the leeboard pivot area and introduce two frames (which connect to bulkheads in the side seat/tanks) to support the leeboard pivots.

The result is a sleeping platform between the bow and stern seat/tanks which is 2250mm long by 1200mm wide (7' 4" by 3' 11") which reduces to 1000mm wide (3' 3") between the two leeboard pivot frames and which is raised off the bottom of the boat. A folding canopy gives sitting headroom over the sleeping platform - to put up the canopy, all the spars are taken down (which is fine, as none are longer than the scow).

This is only a preliminary design at present, but it looks very attractive - it would probably be nicer to sail than the original scow with the side seats.
