LIFE EDUCATION CENTRES - Model of Mobile Classroom
|
This model was made for Life Education Centres Dorset to be used for fundraising and other purposes. It has proved to be useful and other LECs may want to copy it, so plans and instructions are available from me. The model requires basic modelmaking and woodworking skills of a good DIY, not professional, standard. The body of the model is made from styrene sheet and the plinth and transport cover are made from wood. The model in its case is just under 900mm long (about 35 inches) and will fit in the boot of virtually all cars. It can be lifted by one strong-ish person and is easily carried by two people. The materials for the model, case and graphics will cost about £250. The time to build is more dependent on the individual, but is around 100 hours. If you would like to get the information kit to build a copy of this model, please e-mail me (remove the NOSPAM. from the address). Please note that the full kit of drawings and photos is about 10Mb. |
