The period Smiths instruments are set under a visor:
1: Fuel Gauge
2: Water Temperature Gauge
3: Tachometer
4: Clock
5: Speedometer
6: Oil Pressure Gauge
7: Battery Condition Gauge
There are standard period car (BLMC) column switches, worked by your thumbs. This sounds un-ergonomic, but works OK.
A: Wipers, washers, horn and heater fan.
C: Dip and flash, indicators and engine start.
The side stand controls are clever - your leg hits them if you try to ride off with the stand down.
B: Left stand (extended).
D: Right stand (retracted).
